Leading personal injury and medical negligence solicitors
As an associate solicitor in Boyes Turner’s successful industrial disease team, Peter has experience of all forms of disease and illness claims, including asbestos-related lung conditions, such as pleural thickening, asbestosis, lung cancers and mesothelioma.
Peter also works in the personal injury team and has extensive experience in all forms of personal injury matters to include serious injury claims, group litigation actions and international claims.
Peter’s exceptional legal skill and expertise is enhanced by the invaluable, technical and practical inside knowledge that he acquired in his former role as an industrial control technician, working on numerous sites for large, blue-chip organisations in the UK and Europe.
“His knowledge [of industrial disease matters] is second to none. I don’t know how long he’s been doing it but my impression I that it is a long time – he knows the subject inside and out.”
Peter has an impressive track record of successful claims in which making a difference to the client is what counts. Through the claims process he is able to assist his injured clients in securing the vital funds needed for their medical treatments and nursing requirements whilst securing financial support for them and their families if, owing to their illness or injury, they are unable to work.
His determined and tenacious style and technical knowhow leads to success in cases where other solicitors have advised the injured client that they can see no prospects of success. He is experienced in achieving compensation in cases of low or indirect asbestos exposure, including a mesothelioma claim for a man who had been exposed to asbestos in a London school boiler room when taking sandwiches to his father who worked there as a school caretaker.
Peter keeps himself at the forefront of international asbestos news, policy and legislation by attending the Houses of Parliament’s Asbestos Sub-Committee meetings. He updates his medical knowledge and treatment knowhow at asbestos-related seminars. He lectures on law and legal practice to staff and students at a leading London University and to hospital based specialist lung cancer teams. He has been an external panel member for the validation process of the Legal Practice Course at a leading London University and has assisted the Law Society in assessing proposals for training contracts. He has received an award from Middlesex Law Society for his work.
Peter is a keen supporter of asbestos-disease related charities for whom he fundraises regularly and supports their events.
Peter is a member of the Law Society and an accredited Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) senior litigator. He participates in various APIL Special Interest Groups (SIG's) relating to industrial disease and environmental law.
In his spare time, you’ll find Peter listening to music or reading. He also enjoys hiking, camping and keeping fit.
