Boyes Turner’s Mesothelioma and Asbestos Disease Claims Team have been instructed by the family of Michael Glasscoe following his death from mesothelioma in June 2023. Unfortunately, Mr Glasscoe deteriorated quickly and was unable to provide us with information surrounding his working history or circumstances of asbestos exposure during his lifetime. Michael worked for BRITISH RAIL for over 40 years, specifically the following companies: BRITISH RAIL between 1976/77 and 1996/97 BALFOUR BEATTY RAIL MAINTENANCE LTD between 1996/97 and 2003/04 BALFOUR BEATTY RAIL INFRACTRUCTURE LTD in 2004/05 NETWORK RAIL INFRASTRUCTURE LTD between 2004/05 and 2020/21 Mr Glasscoe was based at Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells, although he did work the tracks from London all the way to Hastings. We believe that Mr Glasscoe suffered asbestos exposure whilst working for British Rail. His family are appealing for help from anyone who worked for any of these companies and who might know how he encountered the harmful material asbestos.
