Rachael ’s professional biography
Rachael’s experience extends to assisting parents at all stages of the SEN process, including pre ECHP provision and support, refusal to assess or issue a Plan, review of draft ECHPs, Annual Reviews and failure to deliver on the contents of Plans. Rachael also undertakes advocacy at appeals and representation at Annual Reviews.
She has particular experience with dyslexia/dyspraxia/ASD/ADHD and sensory processing needs with strong links to local specialist schools and support groups.
Rachael’s past experience within the personal injury/clinical negligence fields assists with the identifications of those cases that could benefit from SEN support.
Rachael is a member of the Law Society and the Education Law Association (ELAS), and also a school Governor. She also gives regular talks on SEN law to both parent and professional groups, and has been published nationally on SEN issues as well as being asked for comment on BBC radio.
