As a senior associate - solicitor in Boyes Turner’s highly respected Court of Protection team, Alexander’s specialist expertise is in helping people who have suffered severe brain injury to manage their financial affairs.

Alexander’s expertise and understanding of the needs of clients with diminished mental capacity enables him to support Boyes Turner’s severely disabled and brain-injured clients and their families through the financial, aspects of their personal injury and medical negligence claims.

Alexander assists clients with all types of Court of Protection applications, and helps clients who require a personal injury trust. In addition he prepares professional witness statements in relation to deputyship and private trust costs, to enable clients to recover those costs through their medical negligence or personal injury claim. Boyes Turner’s serious injury and deputyship clients benefit from Alexander’s ongoing assistance as he liaises with employment lawyers to provide advice and maintain up-to-date best practice in relation to carers’ contracts and the client-carer employment relationship. He provides investment reviews of independent financial advisors (IFAs) and fund managers.

As a specialist in deputyship and trust management for seriously disabled and brain-injured individuals, Alexander supports clients in budget forecasting to ensure the compensation award will continue to meet the client’s ongoing needs. He also assists with the purchase and adaptation of property, and with ensuring that his client have the right support around them to ensure that their needs are being met.

Alexander was awarded the STEP Advanced Certificate in Advising Vulnerable Clients with distinction in 2017.

In his spare time, you’ll find Alexander at the piano or playing the guitar, singing and recording songs of his own composition. A prolific songwriter, he enjoys the individuality and creativity that can be expressed through composing;
