Lacie’s professional biography

In her current role, Lacie supports families throughout the EHCP process. She is known for her clear, thorough approach and understanding of the legal framework around special educational needs. Her previous experience as a licensed special education teacher in the United States, working with secondary students with a wide range of learning difficulties, gives her valuable insight into the realities of what therapeutic and educational interventions look like within a classroom. This gives her unique insight in drafting an EHCP and interpreting independent expert reports. Lacie’s passion for this area of law is deeply rooted in her personal experiences. Her brother has Down Syndrome and Autism, and her experiences growing up alongside him continue to shape her commitment to securing the right support for children and young people with special educational needs.

Lacie holds a Masters Degree from Western Oregon University in Special Education as well as an LLB (Hons.) in Law from Queen Mary, University of London.
