Emma is an experienced Solicitor in our highly regarded Court of ProtectionCommunity Care, and Special Educational Needs teams. Her expertise in both Community Care and Special Educational Needs allows her to offer comprehensive legal advice on the rights of disabled children and adults.

Emma’s professional biography

Emma provides expert advice, simplifies complex legal issues for clear understanding, and builds strong working relationships with clients. Emma is experienced in providing representation to lay clients and Professional Deputies in relation to a vast array of education, health, social care and mental capacity issues.

During the pandemic, she co-edited an anthology of poetry on how the COVID-19 crisis had affected legal aid lawyers and the provision of advice and advocacy. All proceeds were donated to the Law Centres Network to continue their work upholding justice and advancing equality for local people and communities.

Emma became disabled following a stroke in 2020. Her lived experience of disability informs her practice. She is passionate about increasing diversity in the legal profession. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, life drawing and yoga.
