Boyes Turner’s injury team secured a settlement for a pedestrian client who was hit by the defendant’s vehicle as she crossed the road, with the traffic lights in her favour. She was taken by ambulance to hospital where she was found to have suffered injuries to her cervical and lumbar spine, a compression fracture of the lateral tibial condyle (broken bone within the knee), cuts and grazes to her right shin and a psychological injury.

She was referred to a pain specialist who recommended a right sided L4/5 nerve root block for right sided sciatica and stenosis. The injections failed to relieve her pain and she was referred for a spinal decompression procedure, to  relieve her right sided sciatica and back pain. She made a good recovery following the surgery.
