Boyes Turner were instructed to represent a male holiday maker who was injured in a hotel swimming pool and left with head injuries.

Whilst he was on holiday in Turkey the man struck his head on a wooden structure overhanging the water at his hotel's swimming pool causing a laceration and minor head injuries.

His claim was brought against the tour operator under the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992, because it met the criteria to bring the claim in the UK. This is because the holiday was prearranged, it sold at an all inclusive price and the service included overnight accommodation or covered a period in excess of 24 hours.

His claim was quickly settled out of court.
