We were instructed on behalf of Mr C during his lifetime following his diagnosis of mesothelioma. His exposure to asbestos came from working as a carpenter at West Hertfordshire Hospital NHS Trust.

His exposure to asbestos came from working as a Carpenter at West Hertfordshire Hospital NHS Trust during 1987 – 2003 and from carrying out refurbishment work in domestic and commercial sites including restaurants, pubs, flats, office blocks and retail shops, during 1967 – 1987 whilst employed by Henry Luck Limited.

Mr C’s claim was prepared on the basis of a posthumous assessment of damages, allowing the family to claim for loss of dependency to be brought following the determination of liability in Mr C’s lifetime. We were able to secure judgment against the Defendants and obtained an early interim payment of damages for Mr C in his lifetime. Proceedings were then stayed to enable the family to purse the claim following his death, thus allowing Mr C’s family to recover maximum compensation.

Mr C’s claim settled for the gross sum of £165,000.
