What made you go into law? When I moved from Cambridge to Berkshire over 10 years ago, my first job in the area was a sales progressor for a local estate agent. I would regularly be in touch with solicitors and clients and my role was to assist and progress a property transaction from sale agreed to completion. Over the course of a few years in the role I realised that the work that the solicitors were doing was far more interesting and that I wanted to do this myself. When did you join Boyes Turner and what is your role? I joined Boyes Turner in November of 2013 and my current role is a paralegal in the Court of Protection Department. What do you like most about/what are you most looking forward to in your new role? For me, every day is different. My role is very varied, and I enjoy supporting the matter fee earners in the department with whatever our clients may need on a day-to-day basis. I feel like I make a difference in our clients lives and for me that it very rewarding. What do you like to do outside of work? Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a daughter who is 3 and we often do family activities together over the weekends. I enjoy going for long walks, going to the gym, reading, and watching Netflix. I have a passion for interior design, we recently moved into a new house, and I am enjoying putting our own stamp on it and making it our home. I also enjoy travelling and going back to Bilbao in Spain which is where my mother’s side of the family live. What is your favourite food? I am half Spanish and I love all types of Spanish cuisine. My grandmother’s cooking is just the best! In particular, I enjoy seafood dishes, paella and traditional Spanish omelette.
