What made you go into law?

I've always enjoyed studying law, ever since I took it at A-level. I was fascinated by how the legal system works and how it applies to real-life situations. That early interest developed into a strong desire to pursue a career where I could help people navigate complex legal issues—particularly those who may not be able to advocate for themselves, which is what drew me to the Court of Protection field.

When did you join Boyes Turner and what is your role?

I joined Boyes Turner in January 2025 as a Paralegal in the Court of Protection team. In my role, I assist with managing the property and financial affairs of individuals who lack capacity, working closely with solicitors and deputies to ensure all decisions are made in the clients’ best interests. It’s a varied and meaningful role, and I’m really enjoying getting to know the clients and the wider team.

What do you like most about/what are you most looking forward to in your new role?

The work we do in the Court of Protection team has a direct impact on the wellbeing and quality of life of individuals who are often in vulnerable situations. I find it incredibly rewarding to be part of a team that puts clients at the centre of everything we do. I’m particularly looking forward to developing my knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and gaining more hands-on experience with Court applications and complex financial matters. I’m also excited to keep learning from such a supportive and experienced team, and to continue building meaningful relationships with both clients and professionals across the sector.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, creating henna designs, and going for long walks—especially if there’s a good coffee shop en route! I also like exploring new places and spending time with friends and family.

What is your favourite food?

That’s a tough one, but I’d probably say pasta—there’s just so much you can do with it, and it’s always comforting.
