Boyes Turner’s personal injury solicitors have secured a £300,000 settlement for a woman who suffered injuries to her knee when she was hit by a reversing car. She suffered a direct blow and twisting injury to her knee, with fractures of her tibia and injuries to the ACL, LCL, PCL and MCL ligaments and posterolateral corner. She suffered a psychological injury with PTSD and depression. She has been advised that she will need a full knee replacement in her 50’s.

We helped our client pursue her claim against the driver, who admitted liability for the accident. Following the admission of liability, we secured an interim payment from the driver’s insurers, which enabled our client to undergo intensive rehabilitation.

Negotiations with the driver’s insurers resulted in a settlement offer of £300,000, which our client accepted.

"Thank you very much for all your time and work on our case. It has been a very emotional few years and from the first time you visited us at home, you have been wonderfully supportive and professional throughout the whole process. We are very pleased with the outcome and that the case is now finalised, so we move forward."

If you have been seriously injured in an accident that was someone else’s fault, and you would like to find out more about funded rehabilitation or making a claim, you can talk to one of our experienced solicitors, free and confidentially, by contacting us here.
