As an associate - solicitor within Boyes Turner’s outstanding medical negligence team, Nicola assists the group’s partners, Susan Brown and Richard Money-Kyrle, with the valuation of complex cerebral palsy cases leading to settlement of these high value claims. She enjoys using her legal skills to secure maximum provision for severely disabled children, providing certainty for their future and enabling them to live more fulfilling lives.
Working closely with our experts and the families of our severely disabled clients, Nicola draws upon her previous experience of handling a wide range of serious injury cases. Her expertise includes obstetric and gynaecological injury, representing bereaved spouses and dependent children in cases involving fatal injury, and serious claims arising from delayed diagnosis of cancer. Each case is handled with compassion and sensitivity alongside the meticulous attention to detail and objectivity that is required to advise clients clearly in difficult circumstances.
Nicola is a member of the Law Society, Action against Medical Accidents (AVMA) and the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
In her spare time, you’ll find Nicola spending time with her husband and their two year old daughter or swimming. In addition to the demands of family life and part-time work, Nicola somehow manages to fit in studying for an MA in Bioethics and Medical Law at St Mary’s University, Twickenham!
I am overwhelmed by the outcome in terms of the monetary value and know I should consider it as a near a 'sorry' as I am likely to get from the hospital. It will be nice to start the process of closure on the whole issue now and look towards the future for us as a family.
