WITNESS APPEAL: Did you work with Michael Rose at AF Heather Ltd?
Boyes Turner’s specialist asbestos and mesothelioma team have been instructed to bring a claim on behalf of Michael Rose by his widow.
Michael Rose (Mick) died from mesothelioma on 15 May 2018 at the age of 71. He was a plumbing and heating engineer and served his apprenticeship with A F Heather Ltd in Old Windsor between 23/9/1963 and 28/6/1967, before moving on to F R Wheeler Ltd in Windsor.
Later, Mick also worked for British Overseas Airways Corporation and British Airways for a number of years as a plumber in the maintenance department at Heathrow.
We would be grateful if anyone who knew or who worked with Mick could come forward to assist.
Having not been instructed in Mick’s lifetime, we have been unable to take evidence directly from him about his employment and asbestos exposure but we know, from our own experience, that Mick will have had heavy and regular asbestos exposure during his plumbing apprenticeship with A F Heather Ltd in the 1960s.
We are looking for people to come forward to give us information and detail about Mick’s asbestos exposure to enable the claim to proceed.
Mick developed respiratory symptoms in around November 2017 but he was never formally diagnosed during his lifetime. Sadly his condition deteriorated rapidly and he died from mesothelioma in May 2018.
Mick was an active, outdoors person and became a part-time gardener after retiring. His death was unexpected, sudden and premature.
We need people to come forward who can detail how Mick came into contact with asbestos, especially those who may have worked with him during his apprenticeship with A F Heather Ltd.
Please get in touch if you can help by email at email@example.com or by phone on 0118 952 7199
The service was personal, professional and considered. I was treated so kindly and in the end I knew that not only had I found the right organisation but also the right person.
