Mr H worked for British Aerospace between 1979 and 1987 in their carbon fibre experimental team. Mr H instructed Boyes Turner solicitors when he was diagnosed with mesothelioma, we settled his case within seven months of instructions being received.

Mr H’s work involved cooking carbon components in a large autoclave oven at the Brooklands Estate site. The oven and surrounding pipework was lagged with asbestos based insulation. Mr H worked in close proximity to those removing asbestos lagging as the old asbestos lagging required maintenance and replacement on a regular basis.

Mr H also used asbestos string and asbestos blankets during the cooking process.

Expert medical evidence was obtained which confirmed that Mr H suffered with mesothelioma caused by his exposure to asbestos dust with British Aerospace.

Mr H and his wife lived on a canal boat and therefore expert care evidence was obtained to deal with Mr H’s future care needs and whether he could continue to live on his canal boat when he required care and assistance. The care expert was able to conclude that he would not need to move.

Boyes Turner expert mesothelioma lawyers successfully concluded Mr H’s claim for £126,000.
