Mr P instructed Boyes Turner, specialist asbestos compensation lawyers, following the death of his wife due to mesothelioma.

Mrs P worked for London Borough of Newham as a teacher from 1983 until 1986 and was exposed to asbestos whilst working at Lister School in the London Borough of Newham. Mrs P unfortunately developed peritoneal mesothelioma which eventually led to her sad death.

Boyes Turner, specialist asbestos compensation lawyers, were instructed by the Mrs P’s widower to investigate a potential claim against the London Borough of Newham.

Extensive research and evidence was gathered from former pupils and teachers of the school to prove that she had been exposed to asbestos during her employment.

A claim has now successfully been concluded on behalf of Mrs P’s family to settle her claim in the sum of £450,000.
