£22,000 recovered for pedestrian road traffic accident victim

Our specialist road traffic accident claims lawyers have recently represented a client in respect of a road traffic accident. Our client was walking on the carriageway having just taken her car for servicing, whilst crossing a road with traffic lights in her favour, she was hit by the defendant's vehicle.

The impact caused injury to her right leg which suggests that the front of the defendant's vehicle struck the lateral side of her right leg.

Our client's next recollection was lying in the road with a police officer in attendance. An ambulance was called and she was taken to the Accident & Emergency department of the Royal Berkshire Hospital.

As a result of the accident our client sustained injuries to her cervical and lumbar spine, a compression fracture of the lateral tibial condyle, lacerations and abrasions to the right shin and psychological injury causing anxiety and loss of confidence.

She was referred to a pain specialist who recommended a right sided L4/5 nerve root block for right sided sciatica and stenosis. The injections however failed to help and she was referred for a spinal decompression procedure in an attempt to relieve her right sided sciatica and back pain. She has made a good recovery following the surgery.

The claim settled out of court in the sum of £22,525.

The service was personal, professional and considered. I was treated so kindly and in the end I knew that not only had I found the right organisation but also the right person.
