Georgie’s professional biography

Georgie finished her degree at The University of Sheffield in July 2019 and she joined the Court of Protection team as a paralegal.

She has a wealth of experience working with the most vulnerable in society, including volunteering with the Personal Support Unit in Sheffield Combined Courts for 3 years, and with City Hearts, a charity which supports women who have been exploited and reside in a safe house as a result. She also spent time with an organisation called Mums in Need, which supports vulnerable mothers after they have experienced domestic abuse in the family home. All of these experiences have helped her enhance her life skills and made her realise she has a passion for helping people who have experienced unfortunate situations and deserve the best support and guidance possible.

Her previous experience working in a nursing home, specialising in dementia care, allows her a level of organisational and empathetic experience which is invaluable working with the Court of Protection team. She has taken part in, and also runs, multiple trips overseas working to improve the lives of those who are less fortunate.
