Boyes Turner’s cancer negligence specialists secured a £122,000 compensation settlement for a client who suffered an extravasation injury whilst chemotherapy was being administered for breast cancer.

The chemical burn from the chemotherapy drugs, which leaked into the tissues of her arm during her treatment, caused her significant pain and blistering to her dominant arm. She was admitted to hospital for treatment. She has been left with on-going pain and weakness and requires assistance with some activities of daily living.

We helped our client make a claim for compensation from the hospital which caused her injury, leading to an out-of-court settlement for our client of £122,000.

If you have suffered a serious injury or disability as a result of medical negligence and would like to find out more about making a claim, you can talk to one of our specialist solicitors, free and confidentially, by contacting us here.
