Alexander Wright leads the team’s Expert Report service line and acts as an expert on past and future deputyship and trustee costs in litigating cases, primarily instructed by other law firms.
Alexander’s experience enabled him to play a leading role in the landmark costs case of PLK & Ors [2020] EWHC B28 (Costs), as deputy for PLK. Alexander was also Chairman of the Professional Deputies Forum in 2023 and was a leading figure in its work when he joined the board in 2019.
Alexander specialises in providing expert witness evidence in high-value personal injury and medical negligence claims involving individuals who lack mental capacity. Drawing on years of experience supporting complex litigation, Alexander delivers clear, detailed, and forward-thinking reports that accurately project the long-term deputyship and costs your clients will face.
If you are seeking clarity and credibility to your claim, Alexander will work closely with litigation solicitors to ensure every report is tailored to the unique circumstances of the individual, withstands scrutiny under the Civil Procedure Rules, and plays a pivotal role in providing the Court with an accurate assessment of the costs that will be incurred to support a severely injured claimant for the rest of their life.
Alexander supports clients and their families through the process, with budget forecasting to ensure the compensation awarded will continue to meet their ongoing needs. He also assists with the purchase and adaptation of property, investments, and ensuring that his clients have the right support around them to ensure that they have the best possible quality of life.
