I am a solicitor in the Industrial Disease group representing claimants who have developed various industrial diseases, particularly asbestos related diseases such as mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis and pleural thickening.
I was interviewed on BBC Radio Humber regarding asbestos diseases on Action Mesothelioma Day in 2009.
I am a member of the Law Society and the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
I have worked for industrial disease claimants since 2005 dealing predominantly with claims for noise induced hearing loss and vibration white finger/hand arm vibration syndrome. I have also acted for claimants suffering from asbestos diseases, silicosis, dermatitis, occupational asthma and work related upper limb disorders.
I completed my training contract at Ingrams Solicitors in York and qualified into the Industrial Disease department in March 2008. In August 2008 I also began dealing with personal injury claims.
I graduated from the University of Leeds in 2003 with a 2.1 LLB (hons) law degree before passing the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, York with a Distinction. I trained and qualified at Ingrams Solicitors in York prior to joining Boyes Turner in 2010.
I enjoy visiting friends and family, shopping, going to restaurants and bars and to the cinema and theatre. I also like swimming, reading and watching rugby league and tennis. I am hoping to travel more over the next few years especially to Italy and Canada. In 2006 I visited Vancouver Island and am looking forward to going back.
