Pleural thickening claim - £60k in compensation for UK Atomic Energy Authority electrician
Boyes Turner’s specialist industrial disease lawyers secured £60k in compensation for a man who had been diagnosed with pleural thickening as a result of asbestos exposure whilst employed as an electrician by the United Kingdon Atomic Energy Authority at their Springfields site in Lancashire.
He initially undertook an apprenticeship and was then employed as a qualified electrician. Throughout his employment he worked in close proximity to laggers, was required to cut asbestos sheets himself and regularly inserted asbestos gaskets.
