Pleural thickening caused by asbestos exposure - £17.5k compensation for demolition labourer
Boyes Turner’s specialist pleural thickening lawyers successfully settled a compensation claim for a man was diagnosed with pleural thickening after having been exposed to asbestos whilst working for Thomas W Ward Limited between 1963 to 1965 and then for a further 12 years from 1970 to 1982.
He then worked for John F Hunt Demolition Limited between 1982 and 1986. During both employments, he was employed as a labourer engaged in demolition work.
His compensation claim was settled on a provisional damages basis in the net sum of £17.5k.
